Steven A. Baker

Coach Steven Baker was Born in Tarboro, NC and raised in Rocky Mount, NC. He is a graduate of Northern Nash HS where he was a three sport three-year varsity letter winner and arraigned conference and county honors in both basketball and football.  

Coach Baker attended ECU on a full football scholarship and was a four-year letter winner and contributing member to ECU’s first back to back conference championship teams. He went to three postseason bowl games and in 2012 graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family & Community Services. 

One month prior to graduation he was selected by the Indianapolis Colts as a preferred free agent and spent several years traveling and playing with different NFL teams to include; Arizona Cardinals, NY Giants, & St Louis Rams just to name a few.

After his NFL career he relocated to Raleigh, NC; where he currently resides with his wife and 2 children. He’s spent the last 5 years coaching and training various sports leagues and a wide range of age groups. He coached Varsity Football, Boys Basketball, Middle School Lacrosse, &  5-12 year old Youth Football.

Coach Baker’s philosophy is is very simple: prepare and perform. The level in which you prepare is the level in which you will perform when your test comes.  Not only is this his coaching philosophy but also his life philosophy. He learned early in life through athletics the importance of preparation for the performance and this is something that he continues to carry with him till this day.

Robert Lee

Robert Lee is a local businessman and philanthropist who is committed to the growth and betterment of the lives and opportunities available to the youth of Eastern Wake county and surrounding areas.

Born and raised in Elizabeth City, NC, a small town in North East North Carolina, he understands the need for community support, creating opportunities and allocating resources to aid in that support. Coach Rob is a board member on several non profit organizations but is a founding member of Panthers U Sports Academy.

He is the proud father of 2 sons and loving husband to his wife. Together, they own and operate several businesses that service real estate and construction needs throughout the triangle area.  They also volunteer within several positions at their local church. 

Coach Rob believes in the “holistic” development of the student athlete, mind, body, and soul. That they must be developed on and off the field of play as an athlete, a contributing member of society, a scholar, and as a human being in order to be the best them they can be once youth sports is over.
